IT ALL COMES AT ONCE..

Vampire Weekend recently just uploaded this new gem “White Sky” to their myspace. The track has been performed by VW for a while now so those lucky enough to have seen them since they debuted it in January 2008 would already have drummed up massive expectations from the track.. I’m not one of those people unfortunately, so I didn’t have any preconceptions of what the song should sound like BUT I can say the final recorded version is pretty much perfection! Watch out for “Contra” coming soon!!

Vampire Weekend – White Sky

Death To The Throne is famous for knocking out a good remix and has hit us with some new material this week called “I Only Have Eyes For You”. It starts off with a voice sample of Brandi/Monica’s The Boy Is Mine before going into an array of electro, dub and fidget with escalating synths all wrapped together in a crazily perfect arrangement.

Penguin Prison released the double A’side single for Animal Animal earlier this year, with the AA side track “A Funny Thing” also appearing. Had this one a few days but neglected to fully listen to it, definately glad that I did though. Gotye embodies the Motown sound mixed with a feel good melody,topped off with some massive horns in the track Learnalilgivinanlovin. It’s being released as a 7″ limited edition, also including a Passion Pit remix thanks to NeonGold. Theres only 300 available, in the whole world, so go forth!
