CASSETTE ROADTRIP PLAYLIST
In celebration of the great NZ roadtrip most of YOU will be making very soon, whether your going away for chrissy, or heading away to the various hotspots for NYE (Gisborne for us here at CC) I’ve decided to include a few of the tracks that will I’ll be blasting through my car speakers on the six hour roadtrip down! As like myself the list is eclectic and not definitive so feel free to comment with your roadtrip tracks! Here goes!
First on the playlist would have to be “Cool Me Down” by The Black Seeds as nothing compliments a lush green rolling hillside more than some good ol kiwi reggae/soul. The Black Seeds are also on at Baywatch this year on the 27th of December if your one of the (un)lucky ones camping!

Kid Sister - Daydreaming (Feat Cee-Lo)
I’m abit ashamed to say but I actually LOVE this track. Sure it goes against all the anti-commercialism bones in my body but I can’t argue with the pure genius of advertising here, as you will all recognise the track featuring artists such as Cee-Lo, Travis McCoy and Patrick Stump (to name just a few) on the Coke “Open Happiness” campaign.

2009 was the year of Passion Pit, I can confidently say. However disappointed I am with the video for “Little Secrets” I feel equally opposite about their debut LP release “Manners”, and will hopefully be living true to the lyrics this summer. (Higher and higher and higher….)

Dirty Projectors “Bitte Orca” has been tipped on many a blog to be the best album of 2009, not surprising when you listen to “Stillness Is The Move” with its Timbaland inspired production and all over funk factor. Although, it may induce me to stop on the side of the road and chase some Llamas… (cattle more likely).
